DJ Jack Da Rippa

Last night was crazy, so many different acts came from all over the state of Ohio to jump on stage, and put it down. The show was hosted by Maxwell Shell, and DJ Jack Da Ripper at the Symposium, presented by Goodshyt Entertainment, and Pandemik Records. From Midas Touch to, Jus Mic the performances went extremely hard. Here is a brief recap of the performances and video footage is available on YouTube.

Midas Touch opened the show up with a few songs to be followed by a new artist, Niggod The Urban Grunt. Infinite from down in Columbus came, and showed major love with his boys, and performed a solid set of songs. Mr. 44 jumped on stage, and got the crowd a live with another great performance. After doing the Lyrical Alphabet, Proph The Problem jumped on, and loaned some vocals before his own set. When Proph The Problem got on it was another story, the mans style is different.

Twizted Mind

Least to say if left us waiting for the “Jockin Jaz-Z” cover. Peabody’s November 1st to catch that cover performance.

None other then the 2008 Ohio Hip-Hop Awards “Lyricist of The Year”, Twizted Mind. That man is a genius in his own right. Opening his set with a poem off top. Twizted Mind, went on to rip a few more songs, this man is a beast on the mic.  At the end he broke down his last song, beat-less. Explaining the song metaphor, for metaphor, line by line to end his set.

Garbs Infinite (Pandemik Records) took a break from bar tending to do what he’s known for, putting on a show. After a great set of songs Garbs went off top, with a legit freestyle. Yeah.. no pen, no pad.

Jus Mic

The head liner of the “Musical Movement, Should Move More Than Jus Music” show, came on to close the night out. When Jus Mic hit the stage everyone’s attention was directed to him. With the release of his new CD sampler, hosted by Mick Boogie, and Terry Urban, Jus Mic is preparing for success. Performing songs such as “Speak to Em Jus”, “If I Had It My Way”, “My Last Day of School”, and “Hands Up”, Jus Mic stole the show.

Major props to Karl, Jus Mic, and everyone who performed. Goodshyt Entertainment is taking over in 09. Watch em’!

Amazing show last night at Peabody’s, considering they wouldn’t let the man, Jus Mic, in until time was almost up.

Even though he had to run to the stage, he still delivered his music with nothing but, heart.

The crowds feed back was amazing, and I noticed I wasn’t the only one singing a long with the songs.

I’m callin’ it now, Jus Mic will be the talk of the streets for 2009.

DJ E-v

I went to the Chip Tha Ripper release party on Thursday night at the Grog Shop, hosted by none other then DJ E-v, who held down the turn tables like a real professional.

The club got packed around 11, shortly before Chip came out on stage to perform. Everyone was hype as f**k waiting for Chip, to come Rip. Yes, pun intended. That’s exactly what he did too. I was impressed with the show, didn’t expect everyone to go as crazy as they did.

Any way, what a great time! Chip did a lot of his old hits, I’m fitted, Supa Swag Man, Watch Me Catch The Beat, and a few others. After that Chip, and Young Ray performed a cut, then H-Flo popped out of now where with a track. The stage was packed with fans, including me, and my video camera. I wish the audio quality was as good as the video but, the bass really distorted the audio.

At the end of the show DJ E-v handed out a few “B*tch I’m From Cleveland”, shirts. I happen to get one, with an autograph on it, and so did my mom!

Chip was also nice enough to sign autographs for me & my mother, and let us get a snap shot. Big up’s to Chip, and his crew.

Chip Tha Ripper & Myself

First, and fore most a shout out to my 216 people. I went to a concert at Peabody’s last night, lots of great local talent. I was impressed; last time I watched local acts, I was very disappointed. It’s time for Cleveland’s take over. The headliner of the show was Wiz Khalifa, I happen to leave the show before he even got on stage. Hopefully I will catch his show next time he comes to town.

An artist by the name of Jus Mic came out, and rocked the show hard. Serious delivery with a diverse flow, nice vocabulary skills, and all. Jus Mic, is more of a hip-hop artist’s, as he said “let me do my def poetry thing” DJ Nitro stopped the record, and Jus Mic let it rip acappella. I gained respect for him, when he came hard with out a “hot beat”. After his set I asked if he had an available CD, the answer was “Nah, but I’m workin’ on one”. So currently Jus Mic has a schedule of up coming concerts on his myspace page. I know as far as production he is working with Cleveland’s own The Kickdrums. Best of luck on that album, hope to hear it soon. Big up’s to Jus Mic, and his crew. Show support to a real artist!

Later, on the second stage Cashcool, another impressive act came on, and really shut it down. Cashcool, and his crew preformed a song called “Clevelands Anthem aka 45 4Flat”. The beat was hot, the flow was nice, most of all their stage energy really sucked you into the music. Naya Luv came out and delivered a nice chorus on the “Swagger Jacker” track. I spoke to Cashcool for a moment, and he gave me some info. I want to say big up’s to Cashcool, and Naya Luv, y’all both showed me and my mom love. Look forward to seeing you at the next show.
